KUNST+BILDUNG Lab K Schriftenreihe CALL FOR PAPERS

CALL FOR PAPERS LaB K on KUNST+BILDUNG
The LaB K (Landesbüro für Bildende Kunst/Kunsthaus NRW) invites all interested art and media science authors from North Rhine-Westphalia to submit a maximum one-page synopsis of a text to be published in our series.
Proposals can be submitted for texts on art education practice that will deal in a future-oriented way with the “participatory book” LEHREN UND LERNEN ALS AUFFÜHRUNGSKÜNSTE by Fluxus actor Robert Filliou, published by König in 1970.
The text selected by June 2025 will be edited and published at our expense in our LaB K publication series, which began in 2022, and designed in a similar way to the first volume. In addition to the production costs, a one-off lump sum of €1500 is available as an author’s fee and we are offering a book launch at a specially organized event in the first half of 2026.
Further information on Larissa Kikol’s first volume of essays can be found on our website in the “Conversations” section at https://www.labk.nrw/news/gespraech/publikation-von-larissa-kikol-inder-schriftenreihe-des-lab-k.
For more detailed information on the entire series of events KUNST+BILDUNG at the Mobile Academy (MobiLaB), we recommend our conference “OPEN FOR OTHERS. Past and Future of Art Education from NRW” on 28 + 29 November 2024, which we are organizing together with the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn and the Master’s degree course in Art Education and Cultural Management at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, all information and programme at

Robert Filliou’s book will play a central role at the conference, particularly in the workshop phase.
The 1970 publication, which is now only available at collector’s value, can be found digitally at

We expect your synopsis by 12 January 2025 at the latest. Please send it and any questions to the program manager of the LaB K Dr. Susanne Ristow by e-mail ristow@kunsthaus.nrw.
